Marc McCabe
Marc joined the US Navy in 1968. He took his basic training and Navy Corps School training in San Diego, Ca. Marc then attended the Field Medical Service School at Camp Pendleton, Ca. and became a FMF Navy Corpsman and started his career attached with the United States Marines. Marc served with India Co. 3rd Battalion 9th Marines 3rd Marine Division FMF Vietnam, 3rd Force Recon, 1st Battalion 5th Marines, 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and later with 2-1-2 2nd CAG 3rd MAF in Vietnam. He attended and graduated from the USMC Recon School and Jungle Warfare Training at NAS Cubi Point Republic of the Philippines and J.E.S.T. School also at NAS Cubi Point, Republic of the Philippines
Marc has worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Physician Assistant and for the last 13 years has worked as National Service Officer for veteran’s benefits. Marc’s current position is as a Veteran Service Officer at St Petersburg VBA Regional Office for the Vietnam Veterans of America. Marc has represented over 900 veterans before the Board of Veterans Appeal (BVA). Marc continues to be an advocate for veterans’ issues serving on state and national committees. Marc is dual accredited through the US Department of Veterans Affairs, General Counsel’s Office to represent veterans with the US Court of Appeals. This recognition is an honor that carries certain responsibilities; mainly that Marc may inspect the claims folder of any claimant and has a proper power of attorney as counsel of record.
